Well, Gamliel came over with his family yesterday evening. They had originally planned on going to Nitzanim for a night by the ocean, and were going to drop in on their way. But then, there was a bit of a problem at the farm, and they had to cancel the big plans, but still made it over to our place. The problem started when he and Jonah cleaned up the goat pen the last time. It was so much work, that they decided to lay a cement floor in the milking area. But not having a lot of experience, they asked around, and someone told them to put a lot of water in the cement so that it wouldn't dry to fast. Seems like they put too much water in, and it dried very slowly, very very slowly. After dinner they had to go back to the farm, and Gamliel figured he's be dealing with this problem today.
But the evening was quite cheerful, and though the kids made a good amount of noise, we had lively conversation and good food, and everyone enjoyed themselves. One of the things I enjoy about Gamliel, is that he doesn't get dressed up to go out. He came in his regular work clothes, and it looked like he hadn't even washed his face before he got here, so I really got the feeling of Eish Kodesh when they came in the door.
