my letter yesterday
some of my readers may have been surprised not to find a letter here that was posted yesterday. I had been corresponding with a friend of mine in the US since the Hurricane Katrina, and it seemed to me that she was blaming everything on Bush. After the third letter, feeling that we were in danger of going round in circles, I wrote her something rather extreme, which I posted here. but I got a number of letters indicating that it was hard to digest, and realized that I had taken my letter out of context, and that without people seeing the whole correspondence, they couldn't really get the right impression of the dialogue, and since I didn't want to turn the blog into a political forum, I just deleted the letter all together.
